An outdoor living space for a client in Colts Neck, NJ. I've created two rooms off the house, informal, organic in design. The upper patio off the house has a bbq built into stone to match the proposed stone seating wall that frames the patio. I have also incorporated a pergola to be softened with Wisteria. This will serve as the dining area with views to the back yard . A few steps lead down to the lower patio which is to have casual seating and possibly a fire pit. Both spaces are broken up with plantings and rock groupings to soften the stone work. Concrete pavers can be substituted for the stone patio and a boxwood hedge can be used in leu of the stone sitting wall to frame the upper patio.
